Todays lesson consisted of playing around with different colous and textures to create a avant gaurd make up look. Holly gave a brief demonstration of the use of different pigments and glitter to give this effect. Holly talked through thr different mixing mediums to be used inlcuding the eyes, face, gel, matte and shiny.

Products List:

- Black glitter

- silver glitter

- large sequins

- eyeshadows

- eyelash glue

- vaseline

Step by Step - My Recreation

1. It is important to do the eyes first befoe anything else because of fall out onto the face that would need to be wiped away. We used masking tape along the temple and cheek to give a clean straight edge to then pack the make up onto.

2. Use a cream based product to buff into the edge of the tape and also the face. Take the product high onto the temples to be more exgaggerated. Then apply a layer of vaseline over the top of this so that the glitter will stick onto it.

3. Use a flat brush and black glitter and pack it onto the egde of tape and along the face and blend upwards slightly. The outer corner needs to be the darkest so the black needs to be on the outer corner of the eye.

3. Then taking a silver glitter tap on the silver rsadomly along the black and again high on the face. Then add slightly into the inner corner to give natural contour and dimension to the eye.

4. Over this add larger sequins or bigger chunks of glitter to add dimension to the look. using eyelash glue dab the larger sequins into it and appply to the face unsymmetrically.

Evaluation:

In evaluation, i think this look came out good. There are things i would change for future reference. But as a first attempt i think it was successful. For next time i would use more glitter along the head to make it stand out more. I would also use differernt variations of glitter to give more texture. Also, i think the end result looks rushed so next time i will take more time with it building up the layers and adding more dimension to it.
