Burberry AW14 - Recreation Hair Evaluation

Today i recreated my chosen catwalk look; Burberry AW14. I think that my assessment went really well, i enjoyed being able to recreate the look to the best of my ability. On the day of my assessment i brought in an A3 moodbaord which had pictures of my chosen look, timings, products and also recreations of the look.

Timings:

3pm: Brush the hair through so there is no knots.

3.10pm: Part the hair into 4 sections.

3.20pm: Curl the hair holding the curling iron 15 seconds at a time. Then spritz each one with setting spray.

3.45pm: loosely finger the waves outwards so they fall out slightly.

3.50pm: spritz with textured sea salt spray to give that extra wave.

- Hairspray

- Curling iron

- Paddle brush

Final Look;

Evaluation:

Overall i am pleased with the outcome of the hair. i think it reflects Burberry AW14 extremly well. Even though thr hair design is very simplistic it is very effective. It is difficult to create loose curls on someone who already had poker straight hair. The curls kept falling out anf going straight after a few minutes so i curled the hair for longer, so that when they did start to fall out it wasnt as quickly. For next time i think i would roughly dry the hair so that it already has some body and texure to it. Then heavily spritz with sea salt spray to again givr some body. Then would begin the curling. Hairspray was also very handy on the day as it dud hold some shape into the curls.
