In Kanikas lesson we were told to recreate a current trend seen on various catwalk shows.

Equipment:

- Elastic hair ties

- Hairspray

- Dolly Head

- Comb

- paddle brush

Step By Step:

1. Using the dolly head i brushed the hair through so that there was no knots.

2. then brushing all the hair back so that there was no parting i took a smal sectin from the middle and tied it with a small elastic. Then clipped this to hold infront of the head.

3. Taking another section vertical from the sides of the head i made a small ponytail again and tied it.

4. then seperate the hair into two ections and oull the below ponytail through the middle and tie.

5. carry on the same method until you have reached the end of the hair.

6. Finish off the end of the braid with a normal plait and tie to secure.

7. To finish off the style competley slighly pull at each of the sections to raise them up and create more texture. Spritz with hairspray to hold the style.

Evaluation;

In evaluation i think this was a successful first attempt. I didnt have my hair kit with me for this lesson as i had rudshed out early morning to catch the train and forgot it. Kanika kindly let me borrow a spare dolly head so i was able to practice this look. A major thing that i found difficult was getting the hair in a neat braid all the way down. This was due to the hair being cut into short layers. However, i did ask Kanika for help and advise and she explained that on a catwalk all the models have different styled hair and lengths. Overall i think my attempt was good and for next time i will try make each section as uniform and neat as possible.
