This seasons trend is all about individuality and express yourself in your own way. Representing freedonm in make up.

Love Worn

'Love Worn' is the reinvention of the classic black smokey eye for AW15. This look is to represent make up that has been applied in the morning and then has been worn in as the day goes on; untouched make up. Fresh skin i the key whilst the colours seen on the eyes are blended ashy toned browns and greys. The liner is only slightly visible and kohl has been creased. From this reinvention the make up is meant to look better in the night; practical but smouldery. Taking a classic make up to the extreme. It is meant to leave behind a story of the wearer; wether it be last nights make up.

“Working through a makeup backwards. It’s about putting it on and taking it off until the perfect remnant remains.” - Lyne Desnoyers.

Strength of Beauty

'Strength of Beauty' is all about fresh looking skin and defining the face with make up. This look is the art of strengthing natural features with subtle colour placement is key, wether it be bronzer or blush it matters where it is put. A natural skin paired with natural looking brushed brows with minimal products. The look of fresh skin is prominent and textures should be used sapringly. The face looks polished and defined reflecting natural beauty. Tofee colours, nude lips, and bronzers for a sunkissed effect drawing into the winter months.

"We are defining the face without changing it. A no-makeup makeup look with a strong brow. This is a brows story, bushier full brows that are groomed,” - John Stapleton.

Beautiful and Damned

'Beautiful and damned' has a slight punky DIY meets extreme elegance. Black is the most daring colour that could possibly be used in any make up. The key to this look is to be very creative and daring. By using smudged kohl, heavy blacl carbon shadow and dark lips; plum or black. Balance the heaviness of the eyes and lips with clean polished skin. The main aim to this look is to have strong contrast with elegance and diversity, incorporating smooth lineswith dramatic colours. Effortless make up with unconventional styles of liner.

“There is a rebellion this season that makes makeup feel really alive.”

- Alex Box

Red 70's

'Red 70's' trend this year for AW15 has reinvented the classic red lip with colours mostly seen from the 70's era. The classic red lip has been revamped with the use of deep, brick tinged reds and rusty reds. Simplicity in the skin, bare skin with minimal coverage to look natural and youthful. 70's shades like ochre, rust and caramel on the lids to keep it modern and simplistic.

“These tones just work on everybody, they require no effort to look chic,” - Lucia Pieroni.
